Awards
Schal projects and people have won the following awards over the last few years:
2011
- Aspire Defence Capital Works (ADCW) project - Winner of British Safety Council awards, Sword of Honour (in Health and Safety) and Globe of Honour (in Environment). Schal are providing CDM-C services for the project
- Evelyn Grace Academy, Brixton - winner, RIBA Stirling Prize. TPS provided security design for the project and Schal carried out the BREEAM assessment.
- New London Awards, 2011 – Exhibition Road, Kensington - winner of the Placemaking catergory - Schal are providing project management; One New Change, London - winner of the "Shopping category- Schal provided CDM-C services.
- Carillion "Target Zero" Gold Certificate – TPS and Schal have been awarded this certificate for excellent safety performance by working 2,000,000 hours without a RIDDOR reportable accident.
- Chilver Hall, Cranfield University - LABC Building Excellence Awards 2011: winner, Best partnership with a local authority (Stanton Williams & Central Bedfordshire Council); Winner, Best educational project. Schal provided Project Management
- Harlow Leisurezone, for which Schal were project managers, has won the "Best Commercial Development" category at the 2011 Local Authority Building Control East Anglia Excellence Awards.
2010
- Richard Johnson, Sustainability Manager - Winner of the G4C (Generation for Change) award at the National Constructing Excellence Awards 2010.
- Chilver Hall, Cranfield University - Highly Commended, Commercial and Public Access category, The Wood Awards 2010. Schal provided Project Management fort the project.
- Richard Johnson, Sustainability Manager - Winner of the G4C (Generation for Change) award at the London and South East Constructing Excellence Awards 2010.
- Steve Webster, BREEAM Assessor - Winner, first "BREEAM in Use in Europe" at the annual BREEAM awards at EcoBuild. This was for the British Embassy in Berlin, opened by the Queen in 2000.
- Oriel y Parc, St Davids - Winner, Royal Town Planners Institute award for the best Rural Areas and Natural Environment - Schal performed the BREEAM assessment for this project
- Dyfi Valley Pathfinder Project in Wales: Using Passivhaus principles in Machynlleth - Runner Up, BREEAM Office Awards at the annual BREEAM awards at EcoBuild - this was for using Passivhaus principles in Machynlleth
- Queen Alexandra Hospital, Portsmouth - Winner, Hospital Building Award, Health Business Awards. Schal provided CDM and TPS provided 3D design and animations
2009
- Maggies Centre, Charing Cross Hospital – Winner, RIBA London award and also "London Building of the year" - Schal provided CDM-C services for this project

- National Film & Television School - Commended, Civic Trust Award - Schal provided Project Management services for this project

- Glencorse Barracks, Edinburgh - Innovation award from the Scottish Construction Forum; for innovation in developing a design and close working with contractors/ suppliers to maximise lean construction techniques.
- Dermot O'Reilly, Project Manager –Finalist, Association of Project Managers "Project Manager of the Year"

- The New Accommodation Project, Cheltenham for the FCO - Civic Award - Cheltenham Borough Council and Cheltenham Civic Society
